Process

From first inquiry to healed artwork.

A tattoo that's meant to last a lifetime deserves a process that isn't rushed. Here's exactly what to expect at each stage.

01

Inquiry

You reach out through the consultation form with your idea, reference imagery, and rough placement and size. This is the starting point, not a commitment — it's how Rodney gets a first read on the project.

02

Consultation

A real conversation, in person or by call, about what you want and why. Placement, scale, style, and timeline are discussed here — along with an honest sense of what the piece will involve.

03

Design

Rodney develops the artwork based on the consultation. For larger projects, this may happen in stages, with time built in to refine composition before anything is finalized.

04

Tattoo

The design is reviewed and placed on the body for approval before the session begins. Large-scale work is planned across multiple sessions, spaced to let skin recover properly between them.

05

Healing

You leave with clear aftercare instructions — see the aftercare guide — and know exactly what normal healing looks like versus what warrants a check-in.

06

Follow-Up

Once healed, the piece is reviewed together. For multi-session work, this is also when the next stage gets scheduled.

Start with an inquiry — no pressure, no obligation.
